January 2012 Event
The January 2012 SAIO-hosted event began with UMSL faculty member, Dr. Elder, briefing us on what type of equipment is important to own when initially starting a practice. She continued to give us an idea of what "extra" equipment she thought would be the most beneficial to purchase after the initial "bare bones" list. The second speaker was the President of Enhanced Medical Services, a used equipment company, who discussed the advantages of choosing used equipment over new equipment when opening a practice or expanding an existing one. Next, Dr. Brown stopped by to briefly share some of the secrets to dealing with student loans and additional finances accrued after school. The evening concluded with Nicole Ursch, the Assistant Vice President of Commercial Services for Midwest Bank Centre, speaking to us about small business lending and managing student loans as well as business loans.
